Coach Martinez wears many hats on our campus—and she wears them all exceptionally well. She teaches secondary math, serves as our Head Girls Basketball Coach, Assistant Track Coach, and Assistant Powerlifting Coach, and does it all with passion, energy, and heart.

It’s not uncommon to see Coach Martinez behind the wheel of a school bus, making sure her athletes get safely to and from games. That kind of dedication speaks volumes about who she is and how deeply she cares about her students.

In the classroom, her pedagogical practices in math are outstanding. She engages students, challenges them to think critically, and ensures learning is meaningful and relevant. With six years of experience in education, Coach Martinez has already made a powerful impact on our students and school culture.

The FFA students show cased all of their hard work with their projects this past weekend, Thursday night was the Rabbit and Cattle show. All the students that exhibited their animals did a wonderful job in some very competitive classes! Hard work pays off! Our third graders put in great effort practicing new skills on IXL and celebrated with pizza and popsicles!

The first set of results back from the Mills County Youth Livestock Show! -Sadie Buffe was the Overall Grand Champion with her flatbed -Wyatt Frazier, Shane Ahearn, and Matthew Schwartz got the Overall Reserve Champion with their hay trailer -Addie Buffe was the Division Champion for Jr. Showmanship exhibiting her feeder

The HS girls basketball game scheduled for today, Friday the 9th, has been canceled.

The JH boys basketball vs Richland Springs has been moved to Monday January 12th. At 6pm. The girls game has been canceled due to Richland Springs not having a JH girls team. Please reach out to Coach Martinez if you have any questions. Thank you!

Due to Mullin ISD not having a HS girls basketball team your Lady Pirates picked up a game vs. Cross Plains JV. The Lady Pirates will play in Cross Plains on January 9th at 4pm. The HS boys basketball boys game vs Mullin will be moved to 6pm in Mullin on January 9th.
