We’re excited to share a glimpse of what’s to come at Priddy ISD!

Over the summer, we have plans to transform this space into a school library—a place where our students can explore everything from timeless classics to today’s most popular series.

Reading plays a huge role in student success at all age levels. It strengthens vocabulary, improves comprehension, builds critical thinking skills, and opens the door to creativity and imagination.

Our goal isn’t to force reading, but to create a space where students want to read. We’re working to build a positive reading culture by offering choice, comfort, and even a reward system to help spark a lifelong love of books.

We can’t wait to bring this vision to life for our Pirates!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We want to keep you informed of an important state requirement aimed at promoting student safety.

Under Safe Storage Awareness (House Bill 3), school districts are required to provide information and resources to families regarding the safe storage of firearms.

Safe firearm storage plays a critical role in preventing accidents and ensuring the safety of children. We encourage all families to review these resources and take appropriate steps to securely store any firearms in the home.

The Plant ID team made the trip up Lubbock to compete in the state CDE contest🏆, finishing 7th in our Area🏅! Very proud of how this team competed this morning against schools from all over the state, from 6A to 1A schools! Definitely represented Priddy FFA in the best way possible!

Trapper Schoenhals and Sadie Buffe represented our Pirates today at the Region IV track meet. Trapper punched his ticket to STATE in the discus and finished 4th in shot. Sadie PR'd with a distance of 100' 8" in discus and finished in 4th place. We are so proud of these two athletes and how hard they have worked this season. We are looking forward forward to watching Trapper compete in Austin!

Pre-k field trip to Volleman’s dairy! So much fun

Our 3rd graders turned science into art with chromatography butterflies! Using markers and water, they explored how colors separate into different pigments - creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind designs!

Parents of 8th and 9th grade students: Due to expected inclement weather on May 1, the field trip to Mill Pond has been rescheduled to May 7.

📣 Freshman Orientation Reminder! 📣

Parents and incoming freshmen are invited to attend Freshman Orientation on Monday, May 4th at 6:00 PM.

This will be a great opportunity to learn important information about high school expectations, graduation plans, course options, and ways to help students have a successful freshman year.

We encourage all parents and students to attend! 🎓✨

These kids have enjoyed Topgolf and been well nourished. Tomorrow, they’ll be on their A-game for their competition!
