Priddy’s FFA Ag Mechanics team won their Division Championship and an $8000 scholarship in Fort Worth on the 13th through 14th.
“This was a good way to start the 2018 show season,” Ag teacher Landon Buffe said. “I hope to get a few more projects completed before the February shows and get a few more kids involved.”
The hydraulic chute project won its division championship. Show team members were seniors Guthrie Peters and Cara Ivy. The project was made for Wesley Peters.
Guthrie Peters won an $8,000 scholarship.
“We are so proud of all the hard work and long hours the kids have put into these projects,” parent Dena Peters said. “We would like to thank Mr. Buffe for all of his guidance and support. The Ag Mechanics competition is a great way for students to learn many employable skills. It has been a wonderful opportunity to earn scholarship money and prizes while constructing and exhibiting these unbelievably well-built projects.”
The FFA team won prizes including 2 new welders, new welding hats, and new tools for the shop.
Seniors Jayden Schrank and Aaron Ivy also presented a welding trailer.
